Anthony Longbottom
Lead Cultural Consultant
Anthony Longbottom is a proud Yuin & Kamilaroi man, a passionate advocate for Indigenous culture, bringing years of experience in cultural consultancy to Bandi Tree. With over 40 years experience and deep understanding of the complexities and richness of Indigenous traditions, Anthony is dedicated to fostering meaningful connections between communities, their cultural heritage and and the broader Australian community.
Anthony’s approach is rooted in respect, collaboration, and a commitment to authenticity, ensuring that every engagement is not only informative but also transformative. Anthony believes in the power of storytelling and cultural exchange as tools for reconciliation, Treaty and Cultural Intelligence, making him an invaluable asset to our team and the communities we serve.
Anthony has over 15 years experience working with NSW Police, extensive experience working Aboriginal Legal Services in the ACT, Community Housing and Aged Care sectors. Anthony has extensive networks across Australia’s eastern seaboard and beyond.
For his work with pre-release detainees in the ACT, Anthony’s expertise and contribution to the community was recognised by Reconciliation Australia ACT awarding him the 2019 Elder of the Year Award.
